Pollo Campero conceives the ability to generate a positive impact on the social progress of all environments we operate in as the only way to guarantee our own sustainability. For this reason, the brand has always actively promoted initiatives destined to the improvement of the communities within our operative system. Some of the projects that have been put in place in order to pursue this objective are: Juan Bautista Gutiérrez Foundation Created in 1986 to centralize and shape the corporation social initiatives. Named after the founder of the companies that today integrate the holding group to which Pollo Campero belongs, its objective is to preserve and spread the ideals of service and solidarity that characterized Mr. Gutierrez's life, and that have since provided a tangible example of commitment and work towards family and community. The Foundation represents our social responsibility commitment to create programs and fundraisers that will benefit education and health initiatives. “Ayúdame a Vivir” Foundation Destined to collect funds for children cancer research, treatment through early detection and long term follow up. Since its creation back in 2001 by a group of Guatemalan companies committed to childhood development, the Foundation has raised over 6 million Euros to finance the treatment of the National Pediatric Oncology Unit patients. Philanthropic activities in USA Destined to replicate the Groups' initiatives related to its commitment with society´s sustainable development throughout our operation in the United States. They include the sponsorship and donations to health programs –in particular the ones oriented to children- among which the “Make a Wish Foundation”, which has the objective to “Grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy” |
