Campero Set to Delight Taste Buds in Long Island and the Bronx

Pollo Campero Expanding in New York with Opening of Three New Restaurants

DALLAS, Feb. 22, 2016Pollo Campero, the world’s largest Latin Chicken restaurant brand and home of Authentic Latin Chicken, today announced it is expanding its presence in the northeast, with the opening of three new restaurants in the New York area. The restaurants, located at 301A Rockaway Turnpike in Lawrence, Long Island, 2450 Grand Concourse and 1590 Westchester Avenue in the Bronx, will bring the number of New York restaurants to twelve.

“We are excited to kick off 2016 with a bang,” said Tim Pulido, Pollo Campero President and CEO. “We have put a lot of our focus on expanding Pollo Campero throughout the United States. To be able to grow the Campero name in a market as incredible as New York, is not only a dream come true, but exactly how we want to begin the year.”

The new New York restaurants will showcase Pollo Campero’s authentic Latin menu and vibrant new global brand image, both of which pay homage to Campero’s Latin roots. At the heart of its menu: Campero’s tender, juicy fried or Citrus Peruvian grilled chicken. Both are made with fresh, never frozen and hormone-free chicken, and prepared with Pollo Campero’s proprietary blend of Latin herbs and spices. Campero’s famous chicken is complimented by a wide array of Latin side dishes, which include everything from the traditional Campero rice and beans, to its new street corn salad, and even tortilla soup.

“When we say we’re authentic, we mean it,” said Pulido. “From Campero’s unique Latin spices, to the warmth of our team, even the vibrant colors found in each of our restaurants, our commitment to our culture is as strong now as it was when Pollo Campero opened its first restaurant back in 1971.”

The Pollo Campero in Lawrence, Long Island is now open. The restaurant on Grand Concourse in the Bronx opened February 16, 2016. The Westchester Avenue restaurant in the Bronx is scheduled to open later this month. All three restaurants are open for service from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
